Summary of OCI Scale Up/Down - Compute vs DB System vs ADB

The OCI Compute instance, DB system, and Autonomous DB each have scale-up/down capabilities.
I've made a brief summary of the differences. (Till Mar, 2021)

Changing Shape
Resizing Storage

Compute
Virtual Machine
Some shapes are possible. (Both Up and Down)There are restrictions depending on the shape type.If the instance is running, it will be restarted.

Only size up is possible, size down is not possible. (Online)

Bare Metal
Unavailable
As above

DB System
Virtual Machine
Available(reboot required)Prereq: DB and DB System should be in running state.

Only size up is possible, size down is not possible. (Online)

Bare Metal
Available(No downtime)
As above

ADB
-
Available(No downtime)Prereq: DB and DB System should be in running state.(Auto scaling is enabled by default.)

Both Up and Down are possible (Online)(Auto scaling is enabled by default.)

Changing the Shape of an Instance
Compute->Instances->Instance Details->Edit

Click "Edit Shape"button to change, then click "Save Changes"button to apply.

Resize Boot/Block Volume
For Boot Volume: Compute->Boot Volumes->Boot Volume Details->Edit
For Block Volume: Block Storage->Block Volumes->Block Volume Details->Edit

In addition to resizing, you can also change the elastic performance option.
The default type is "Balanced". You can change it to "Lower Cost"or "Higher Performance".

Changing the shape of DB System
Bare Metal, VM and Exadata->DB Systems->DB System Details->Change Shape

Storage up for DB System
Bare Metal, VM and Exadata->DB Systems->DB System Details->Scale Storage Up

Scale Up/Down for ADB
Autonomous Database->Autonomous Database Details->Scale Up/Down
CPU and Storage can be changed on the same screen.
